CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey

The CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey (formerly known as Talent Retention Toolbox) is the only compensation and benefits survey for the SI industry.

How Do You Know if You Are Paying Your People Competitively?

With record low unemployment and one of the hottest integration markets in years, attracting, retaining and developing talent is at the top of every integrator’s strategic priority list.

To help you address this challenge, the CSIA Benchmarking Committee has partnered with iLumen to provide a compensation and benefits survey called the CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey (formerly known as Talent Retention Toolbox) that is exclusive to the SI industry.

The CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey provides salary information for a comprehensive list of more than 30 SI industry job titles. The survey also provides insight into additional benefits like retirement programs, medical benefits, PTO, bonuses and more to provide you with a holistic compensation picture.

Additional high-level HR analytics, such as industry turnover rates and recruiting sources, are also part of the results.

For example, these sections are in the 2023 survey:

  • Revenue and Payroll
  • Health, Dental and Vision Plans
  • Retirement Plans and 401K
  • Paid time off
  • Employee Turnover
  • Outsourced Services
  • Employee Recruiting
  • Bonus Analysis
  • Leave and Employee Welfare Benefits
  • Payroll Type by Job Description
  • Total Compensation and Base by Job Description

What is new for 2024?

In collaboration with the Bundy Group, the 2024 CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey will include a brand new, complementary compensation analysis dashboard comprising 10 job titles detailing the recommended base compensation for 6 individual metropolitan markets and the national average for NAICS code 518210-20 (Automation Technology Services).

The compensation analysis will include salary recommendations for companies with an annual revenue of $5M to $10M and employing between 20 and 49 individuals.

While this classification is not SI market specific, it provides a valuable complementary dataset.

A two-page report for each position, with required job responsibilities and skills and market-based competitive compensation ranges are also included.

How it Works

Here’s how it works: The survey opens January 15, 2025, and you can enter your data until February 28, 2025.

There is a nominal fee for participating, and the final report will only be available to CSIA members who input data and pay the program fee. (The final report will be available March 17, 2025.)

To get a copy of the report, you must enter your data by February 28. The report will not be available to any company that did not participate.

To participate, subscribe to the CSIA Salary and Benefits Survey (CSIA members only). This will generate an email to get the process started. From there, you can order and pay, and then you will get a link where you can enter your data.

Salary is the biggest expense for system integrators. Why not access the best information for your decisions by contributing your own data into the pool?

Note: Currently, only SIs with U.S. operations are eligible to participate because every country has different legislation and nomenclature for employment benefit programs.
