It has been an absolute whirlwind of an autumn here, with so many great conversations with members that have continued to educate me as to what system integrators need from CSIA!
Since just September, CSIA has been able to connect with its members at the CSIA Partner Meeting in Chicago, Manufacturing in America in Detroit, the Automation Update by Beckhoff in Mexico City, Building Bridges in Monterrey, AVEVA’s SI Community Event and Schneider Electric’s Innovation Summit in Las Vegas, Automation Fair by Rockwell Automation in Chicago, and GreyDay by GreyLogix and Siemens in Curitiba, Brazil. I also want to thank members Matrix Technologies, Dynics, and Kore Systems for inviting me into your offices over the past two months. These continued conversations help me understand what is important to your businesses and how the organization can help you.
Call for Presenters and Panelists
As 2025 comes to a close, CSIA is hard at work on plans for 2026. First, I am incredibly excited about the speakers and events we have planned for the 2026 CSIA Conference in Baltimore. Our goal is to provide an event at which system integrators can learn, network, inspire, and share. Many thanks to our conference planning committee that has created some amazing sessions and activities to achieve this goal.
CSIA invites you to be a part of the event! To finalize our agenda, CSIA is seeking integrator members to be part of panels and presentations at the 2026 Conference. If you’re curious, check out the Call for Presenters and send me a short email to let me know you might be interested.
Registration for the event and all the details will be available in the coming weeks, so watch your email!
Focus on Membership
Second, in 2026, we will be launching a special focus on membership. What does this mean? It’s my goal to ensure that CSIA is truly the global home for system integrators, and this starts with ensuring the organization is providing what integrators need to be successful.
How will we do this? By creating a strong connection from our members – and from those who are not yet our members – to understand their pain points, their strengths, and their goals so that we can continue to evolve the organization to support them.
In 2026, you’ll see a range of activities to help achieve this, including more individualized outreach to make sure members are supported, clarity on how to take advantage of the ways that CSIA can benefit companies, better promotional tools for CSIA members to highlight their successes, and an overall streamlining of member services. And more!
Remembrance and Gratitude
CSIA’s strength has always been in its member participants, those individuals who have dedicated time and passion to create this premiere organization for integrators.
Last Friday, the CSIA community lost one of its champions: Rick Pierro, founder of Superior Controls (now a part of the E Tech Group), passed away after battling cancer. Rick served on the CSIA Board of Directors for several years and was a pioneer in the field of integration.
Furthermore, Superior Controls was the first company to receive eight consecutive certifications following CSIA’s Best Practices, a milestone he took great pride in his team achieving.
Former CEO Jose Rivera shared his thoughts and memories of Rick in this piece.
CSIA will be honoring Rick’s legacy at the 2026 CSIA Conference, and we send our deepest condolences to his family.
Best Wishes
Thank you to all of our members for your engagement with CSIA in 2025. We are looking forward to building on this success in 2026, and as always, I invite you to contact me if you have any questions or ideas. Until then, have a safe, healthy, and relaxing holiday season and start to the new year
