Individuals and companies whose work has meaningfully advanced the profession of control system integration took the stage to accept Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) 2026 Awards on May 7, 2026. The event was a highlight of the 2026 CSIA Conference, held May 4 – 8, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Tonight’s awards exist for one reason: To recognize impact. Impact on CSIA. Impact within companies. And impact far beyond our organizations into our communities and the world around us,” says Becca Johnson, Director Operational Excellence, SkyIO, and chair of the CSIA Awards Task Force and the evening’s emcee.

CSIA supports system integrators through business and technical education, peer collaboration, and advocacy for the value of professional integration services. With hundreds of member companies across more than 25 countries, the association plays a central role in shaping the standards and practices that define the industry worldwide.

CSIA recognized the following individuals and companies:

 

‎2026 Charlie Bergman “Remember Me” Award‎: Rick Pierro

This award honors an individual who exemplifies the spirit of CSIA’s founding member Charlie Bergman — demonstrating leadership, a generous willingness to share, and dedication to the advancement of the profession.

Pierro earned the 2026 Charlie Bergman Award posthumously.

His wife, Eileen Pierro; one of his three children, Michael Pierro; and Matt Wise, CEO, E Tech Group, accepted the award.
